Spring Plant Sale Showcases Perennial Vines for Tennessee Gardens
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The UT Gardens, Knoxville, is thrilled to celebrate the arrival of spring with a Spectacular Spring Plant Sale filled with beautiful, functional plants for gardeners to enhance their green spaces. Visit the garden on Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. to shop from an expertly curated selection of perennial flowering vines, herbaceous flowers, houseplants, vegetables, herbs and fruiting plants, ornamental trees, and shrubs of all shapes and sizes. From the nectar-filled blossoms of native perennial flowers to the bold tropical foliage of fashionable houseplants, this sale truly has something for everyone.
The sale will especially appeal to those wishing to add vertical interest to their landscape. A special selection of classic southern flowering vines will be featured. Choose from eight gorgeous varieties of clematis ranging in color from multiple shades of pink to deep purple and clean classic white. For the native plant lover, check out Major Wheeler coral honeysuckle and American wisteria that will fill the garden with breathtaking flowers and lush green foliage throughout the growing season. As always, customers are invited to bring their garden questions for helpful advice from UT Gardens’ staff and Tennessee Master Gardeners who will be available throughout the event.
A preview sale will be held on Friday, April 5, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. for all UT Gardens’ members, Gardens’ volunteers, and UT employees. Garden members receive a 10% discount on all purchases. Memberships can be purchased at the sale with an immediate discount on plants. All proceeds directly benefit the UT Gardens, Knoxville.
