Farm Journal AgDay College Roadshow from Tennessee

Farm Journal’s AgDay TV came to the UTIA campus in Knoxville on November 13 for its 2025 AgDay College Roadshow. The event featured a show taping on the Morgan Hall lawn and stories coordinated by UTIA Marketing and Communications about precision livestock farming, the Center for Renewable Carbon, and the Turfgrass Science and Management program.

End of an era for Tennessee homecoming as walking horse tradition is retired

Each year, a Tennessee walking horse and a 4-H rider circle the field ahead of the UT Knoxville homecoming game, but the honored tradition is no longer. Due to safety concerns for the horse, rider and those on the sidelines, the tradition will cease, according to Justin Rhinehart, dean of UT Extension.
