Come to the Clyde Austin 4-H Center to Learn the Latest About Beef Cattle Production
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Since the late 1980s, the Northeast Tennessee Beef Expo, presented by the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture, has been the region’s premier educational and networking event for cattle producers. Each year, farmers, ranchers, students and industry professionals gather to learn the latest in beef cattle production, pasture management and herd health—all while connecting with agribusiness vendors and service providers.
This year’s Northeast Tennessee Beef Expo is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EDT, October 16, at the Clyde Austin 4-H Center, 214 4-H Lane, Greeneville, Tennessee 37743. The expo will feature UT Extension and industry professionals who will provide beef producers with information on the latest research and practices in beef production.
Program highlights include a keynote address on conception to consumption with a focus on carcass merit to be presented by Leamon Bratton of Bratton Angus Ranch. Educational sessions will focus on practical pasture renovation, managing cow herd stressors, using windfall profits effectively, herd health strategies and more. Participants can explore products, services and innovations from more than 20 industry vendors at the expo’s trade show.
Register for the expo by October 9 for the early bird rate of $25 per person. Late registration from October 10 to 16 is $50. The fee covers lunch and all materials. Register at netnbeefexpo.tennessee.edu. You can find the latest about the expo at its website and also on Facebook and Instagram.
