Both Karen DeLong and Carlos Trejo-Pech represent the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Professor Karen L. DeLong and Associate Professor Carlos Trejo-Pech from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture have been appointed editors of the Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics (JAAE).
Along with other commodities, DeLong researches livestock and sugar economics as well as consumer preferences. She also directs the Farm Credit Mid-America Enrichment Program and the Peter Howard Wine and Ag Tourism program in the UT Herbert College of Agriculture.Trejo-Pech’s work focuses on agribusiness and finance.In addition to DeLong and Trejo-Pech, also serving three-year terms as editors of JAAE are Aleks Schaefer, an associate professor of international markets, trade and policy with Oklahoma State University and Seong D. Yun, an associate professor with Mississippi State University. His expertise is in resource and environmental economics.
Published by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the Southern Agricultural Economics Association, JAAE is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that advances scholarly work in agricultural and applied economics. The journal publishes original research and review studies with strong policy and methodological contributions addressing agribusiness, natural resources and rural development, as well as research, Extension and teaching of national and international relevance. Its 2.1 five-year impact factor means, on average, articles published during the prior five years were cited 2.1 times each in a given year.
