Allyson Graves To Oversee Contract Negotiations, Among Other Responsibilities
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture is pleased to announce Allyson Graves as Assistant Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs. She will join the team November 15, 2021.
In this role at UTIA, Graves will lead contract negotiation and administration for UTIA’s Office of Sponsored Programs. This involves monetary contracts and grants, non-financial agreements, and other negotiations. In Fiscal Year 21, the Office of Sponsored programs accepted more than $60M in grants and contracts on behalf of the UTIA administration and faculty.
“Contract negotiation is a vital role in our funding process. We’re fortunate to have someone with Allyson’s experience leading that charge,” said Hollie Schreiber, director of the UTIA Office of Sponsored Programs.
Graves has served as the Senior Contract Coordinator for UT Knoxville for six years. A Knoxville native, she previously worked for Science Applications International Corporation, Mercy Health Partners and Cardinal Health. She holds a B.S. in business organizational management from Tusculum College and is a Certified Research Administrator. She also participated in the UT Women in Leadership Program in 2020 and in 2021 received the UT Chancellor’s Honor Award for Extraordinary Customer Service.
Of her new role, Graves says, “I’m looking forward to working with the Sponsored Programs team and the faculty, and staff at UTIA to enhance the research portfolio, and serve the research community at UTIA in any way I can.”
In her free time, Graves enjoys spending time with her daughter, who is involved with chorus, theater and cheerleading. She also enjoys reading and watching true-crime documentaries.
