Tate Cronin Joins the UTIA Team

JACKSON, Tenn. — Tate Cronin has joined the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture as the new West Tennessee marketing and communications specialist. Cronin began his role in late April and has already had a very busy calendar, including participating in the opening of the Lone Oaks Farm 4-H Youth Development Center in May. Among his next projects is promoting UT’s Summer Celebration, July 13.

Based out of the UT West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center in Jackson, Cronin brings a variety of skills and experience to his new role. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Memphis Lambuth and being awarded the ‘Most Promising New PR Major,’ he worked with B3 Creative Agency in Jackson as a content creator and account manager for nearly two years. His skills in videography, writing, interviewing and content creation allowed him to deliver high-quality material to his many clients.

“We are excited about Tate’s enthusiasm and energy for this role,” says Lisa Stearns, vice chancellor of UTIA Marketing and Communications. “Not only has he resided in West Tennessee his entire life, but he brings a strong and varied skillset to the position that will uniquely serve our UTIA teams and partners in West Tennessee.”

As a member of the UTIA Marketing and Communications team, Cronin enjoys providing compelling services for the countless researchers, Extension agents, workers, donors, volunteers and more who make up the UTIA family in West Tennessee and beyond. His passion for stories and the people behind them allows him to generate cutting-edge marketing and outreach strategies that educate and excite.

“I am incredibly excited to join the UTIA marketing and communications team to help promote the amazing people and stories throughout the region,” said Cronin. “Having been born and raised right here in West Tennessee, I have seen firsthand how the UTIA is making a difference both locally and worldwide. I consider it a great honor to be a part of their mission to provide a better future not just for the people of today, but for the generations of tomorrow.”

Through its land-grant mission of research, teaching and extension, the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture touches lives and provides Real. Life. Solutions. utia.tennessee.edu.
