Shop Hundreds of Specialty Bulbs, Fall Plants
JACKSON, Tenn. – More than 500 amaryllis bulbs across 23 varieties will be available for purchase at University of Tennessee Gardens, Jackson’s, annual Amaryllis Sale on November 12 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center. The sale is free to attend and open to the public.
Shipped from Holland, these specialty flowers are perfect for your home or to be used as gifts this holiday season. Potting soil and plants from the fall plant sale will also be available, including trees, conifers, spider lilies and more.
“Amaryllis are a seasonal favorite and an easy way to brighten up your indoor spaces during the winter,” says Jason Reeves, research associate and curator of UT Gardens, Jackson. “If you have never grown them before, no worries. We will have instructional cards available with all the information you need to get started.”
All amaryllis bulbs are $22 each including tax, with proceeds benefiting the upkeep of UT Gardens, Jackson, and their ongoing mission to provide hundreds of varieties of plants for public enjoyment, community education and horticultural research.
A presale will be hosted on November 11 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for UT Gardens members only. However, non-members can sign up at the sale for $35 to shop early as well.
