A Meeting to Inspire and Connect Women in the Livestock Business
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — University of Tennessee Extension in cooperation with Tennessee State University Extension is pleased to host an event celebrating the strength and resilience of women in agriculture. The ‘Ladies Raising Livestock Conference’ will focus on the unique struggles and experiences women face in the livestock business.
The conference will be held Friday, February 21, 2025, at the UT Clyde Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville. Note, the venue has been updated from previous announcements.
Included in registration is a workshop led by Courtenay DeHoff, a nationally known passionate advocate for women in agriculture. This event will provide insights and tools to help you navigate the industry with confidence. Organizers of the conference say attendees will gain insights from Courtenay on balancing work and life and embracing your unique role. “She helps us understand the health challenges, personal hurdles and the special qualities that make being a woman in agriculture so rewarding,” says Jessica Wilkinson Smith, UT Extension Roane County Extension director and agriculture and natural resources agent. Smith is among the conference organizers.
The cost to attend is $40 and you may register online at tiny.utk.edu/LRL. Pre-registration is required by February 10, 2025.
