UT Gardens and Madison County Master Gardeners to Host Spring Plant Sale May 5 and 6

Sale Offers Large Assortment of Hand-Selected Plants Varieties

JACKSON, Tenn. – Fill your lawn and garden with beautiful locally grown plants during the University of Tennessee Gardens, Jackson, and Madison County Master Gardeners Spring Plant Sale on May 5 and 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The sale will offer more than 500 different kinds of annuals, perennials, trees, conifers, shrubs, vegetables, herbs, succulents and house plants. The Madison County Master Gardeners will host their sale inside the main building at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center, while UT Gardens, Jackson, will host their sale outside behind the facility.

“The Spring Plant Sale is the perfect opportunity to acquire local plants grown by our region’s best lawn and garden experts,” said Jason Reeves, curator of UT Gardens, Jackson. “Buying from local growers can better ensure your plants are high performing and are well acclimated to West Tennessee’s unique climate.”

The Madison County Master Gardeners Spring Plant Sale will be cash and check only. Admission to both plant sales is free.

The UT Gardens, Jackson, is part of the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center, located at 605 Airways Boulevard, Jackson, Tennessee. A list of plants will be available by April 29. For more details on the plant sale please visit our website westtn.tennessee.edu/other-events/.
