Bicentennial Heritage Festival Follows on Oct. 9
JACKSON, Tenn. – Keep your landscape beautiful all year long, with plants from the University of Tennessee Gardens, Jackson, Fall Plant Sale. The gardens will offer trees, shrubs, perennials and pansies for sale October 7 and 8 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the plant sale is free.
“Gardening doesn’t end when fall begins. It’s the perfect time to plant trees, shrubs, and other perennials,” said Jason Reeves, director of the UT Gardens, Jackson. “Now you have the time to plan ahead for spring and summer, and get some of those bigger, more long-term projects done.”
Remaining plants will be sold at the Bicentennial Heritage Festival, Saturday, October 9. You will also have the chance to tour the facility, view antique tractors and attend the quilt show. Admission on Saturday will be $5 per adult, and kids are free.
With a $35 donation, you can become a Friend of the UT Gardens at the plant sale. The donations help support many of the activities and beneficial research taking place at the UT Gardens, Jackson. For more information on the program or to become a Friend go to our website.
